AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS / IH35 CORRIDOR
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …
(1) A dry and stable weather pattern persists for our area over the next five days with afternoon high temperatures remaining well above seasonal averages through the weekend.
(2) The upper level high, acting like a “lid” on the atmosphere, will weaken early into mid part of next week as an upper level trough, or line of low pressure, moves eastward through the plains states. An associated surface cold front will be moving into Texas as this happens.. the timing of this front is still a bit uncertain, but I will be bringing down temperatures closer to what they should be this time of year. A chance of rain is being introduced as well.
Based on NWS/Weather Prediction Center guidance, 0.25 inch of rain is forecast for our IH35 corridor counties over the next seven day period.
MY LOCAL FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
High to very high confidence forecast.
